We finally comitted the results of the first KDevelop Conference to the kde svn (branches/work/kdevelop4-merge). This is a port of the core modules to Qt 4 including some major cleanups. Highlights are the composite item model and the filter model. They allow us to manage all kinds of data (classes, files, etc) and to perform actions like filtering or sorting without much hassle. More changes to appear at the aKademy meeting this year.

Hey Harald,

Where will development of KDevelop4 take place? There is:
- branches/work/kdevelop4
- branches/work/kdevelop4-merge
- trunk/KDE/kdevelop

Would be really nice to know so one can c/o out the sources. Currently I have all but the merge checked out :=(

Another thing that would be nice to have is a short and long term plan.

Hey Harald,
Also what about roberto’s lib/cpp-parser . When will that be merged in?

kdevelop4-merge are the changes we did in Ukraine. The long-term plan is a bit fuzzy, we want to make KDevelop even more modular to make it a generic application framework, so it can be used by other applications. Roberto’s parser will be merged as soon as he’s back from vacation. More changes will appear at aKademy :)
